About Us

The Wendover Action Group was founded in 1996 to provide help to local residents of Wendover and surrounding villages with door to door transport for those who had difficulty travelling. We became a beneficiary of a Department of Transport scheme to provide community transport groups. We are very grateful to Wendover Parish Council and The Lionel Abel Smith Trust for their help and support over the years.
Wendover Community Car is well equipped. Many of our passengers are local residents who can’t easily use public transport. They may have limited mobility, use walking frames or just have difficulty with heavy shopping bags. We are delighted to help.

The car is based in Wendover. We operate in Wendover and area, which includes our neighbouring parishes of Weston Turville, Aston Clinton, Stoke Mandeville and for parts of South Aylesbury. We can take passengers to surgeries and hospitals. We are also able to undertake longer distance journeys on request – just enquire and we will see what we can do for you.
